Keyhole State Park is located in the northeast part of Wyoming, about 45 miles east of Gillette, a few miles north of I-90. You can find more information about it at the State Web Siteand the Recreation.Gov Web Site.

Keyhole reservoir is behind a dam on the Belle Fourche River. It's primary purposes are flood control and cropland irrigation. Consequently it's water level fluctuates throughout the year. It's usually at it's peak in late spring but the lake can be sailed as long as it's not covered by ice.

I enjoy boating (sailing and kayaking) at Keyhole because it's close to my home, there's usually plenty of wind blowing and it's scenic. Here are some pictures from trips I've taken there since I moved to Gillette in '98.
